Partner profile: Neil H. Berkow:

Neil Berkow founded the firm in November, 1981. Mr. Berkow began his career with Touche Ross & Company (predesesssor to Deloitte and Touche), one of the "Big 8" accounting firms, in New York City. He was also a partner in the Manhattan firm of Henry Hinden & Company. A graduate of Lehigh University, he is licensed to practice in Connecticut and New York. Mr. Berkow is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of CPA's. Married with 2 children, he resides in Stamford, Connecticut.

Partner profile: Edward J. Schechter:

Ed Schechter was educated at Cornell University (B.S. M.B.A.) where he continues his involvement with the University and its alumni associations. His association with Mr. Berkow dates back to 1974 at Touche Ross & Company in New York. Later, he joined Mr. Berkow at Henry Hinden & Company, also becoming a partner there. After 4 years involvement with his family's manufacturing business, he joined forces once again with Mr. Berkow in 1987, continuing Mr. Berkow's firm under the name Berkow, Schechter & Company. Mr. Schechter is licensed to practice in Connecticut and New York and is a member of the American Institute of CPA's and the New York State Society of CPA's. He is married and resides in Stamford, Connecticut.
